Mark VII Announces New “Inverted L” and Self Serve Carwash Systems

May 5, 2010 – Arvada, Colorado – Mark VII Equipment Inc., the US subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, the leading producer of vehicle washing equipment worldwide, today announced it will debut its new TurboJet XT™ overhead-mounted in-bay automatic and JetWash™ self serve systems at next week’s Car Care World Expo.

“WashTec/Mark VII is the global leader in gantry rollovers, but there’s a segment of the market that prefers overhead-mounted IBAs,” said Murray Kennedy, CEO of Mark VII. “The TurboJet XT leverages our expertise in touch-free carwashing to bring unique innovations to the inverted L format.”

The TurboJet XT uses Mark VII’s turbo technology to provide more cleaning power than other overhead systems. Separate top and side high pressure manifolds are offset to reduce spray interference and to allow the top to be turned off while the arm finishes washing the sides of the vehicle. Combined with the greater efficiency of the turbo nozzles, the results are substantial water savings and lower operating costs.

“We also eliminated maintenance headaches found in other overhead systems,” said Steve Robinson, Marketing Director for Mark VII. “Our protective arm cover opens like a clamshell to allow easy access to service the nozzles. Plus we designed a special valve to deliver both high and low pressure fluids to the rotating arm that is easy to service without removing the arm.”

The new JetWash self serve system accommodates up to four bays on a single frame that has a 57% smaller footprint than its predecessor. New features include VFDs to vary pump speed by wash function, direct drive pumps that require less maintenance and are smoother and quieter than belts and pulleys, chemical injectors for more precise control over chemical consumption, and lighted solenoid plugs for easier troubleshooting.

Both the TurboJet XT and JetWash will be demonstrated in booths 923 and 1023 at Car Care World Expo from May 12-14. For more information about Mark VII, visit www.markvii.net or call 800-525-8248.
